Last-minute cancellations can cause financial loss and disrupt your schedule. In Australia, your customers have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) to cancel services.
To protect your business and follow the law, it's wise to establish a clear cancellation policy. Having a written policy in your service agreement reduces misunderstandings and serves as evidence of the agreed terms when customers book your services. (check out our NDIS Service Agreements 101 post Lama Care News and Articles)
In the Lama Care system, you have the option to include your business's cancellation policy details. You can specify a name for the policy, define a percentage for charges, provide a description of the terms, decide whether to apply these charges to participants, and determine whether your employees' time should be compensated under this policy. All this information is directly linked to your invoicing process.
To create a new cancellation policy, simply click on the "New Cancellation Policy" icon. Then, proceed to fill out each section with the relevant information pertaining to your policies. Don't forget to save your changes once you've completed this process.
